Mouse House

Jacob came home from school with this box and "it was important that I not throw it away." Why? Because he is going to make a house for his pet mouse. (Of course, why did I not know that?) Jacob's big concerns are: 1) How to make a door that opens and shuts and 2) That we get mouse food. My main concerns are: 1)Who says we are getting a pet mouse and 2) Is there something about his room that he is not telling me. After discussion it was decided that Jacob would get "Steve" when he was a parent. Above is a picture of Steve's house - complete with a chimney and a paper towel inside for a rug. "Do you think Steve will like it?"
